When Disney Imagineers reimagined the classic Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios into its new incarnation starring The Muppets, they faced a monumental task: preserving the high-octane spirit of a legendary coaster while injecting the chaotic, heartfelt humor of The Muppets and The Electric Mayhem.

For die-hard Disney detail-hunters, one of the most brilliant parts of this transformation is how Imagineers paid homage to a classic, fan-favorite Hidden Mickey.

The "Before": Aerosmith's Studio Floor

In the original version of the ride, eagle-eyed guests waiting in the G-Force Records studio queue could look down near the instrument racks to spot a clever Hidden Mickey. Formed on the floor by a series of perfectly coiled black audio and power cables, it was a subtle, grounding nod to the Mouse hidden right in the middle of a gritty rock-and-roll studio space.

The "After": Scooter's Masterpiece

Fast forward to the grand reopening, and the studio space is under new management. With Scooter stepping into the sound booth as the ride's brand-new Audio-Animatronic host, the recording studio has been given a massive organizational glow-up.

As a nod to Scooter’s meticulously organized (yet perpetually stressed) nature, the chaotic floor cables are gone. Instead, guests looking through the studio glass will spot an incredibly neat pegboard wall. Hanging among the perfectly coiled, color-coded audio wires is the new Hidden Mickey—expertly arranged using black and red cables.
